Blue Wallet Tutorial: How to setup, receive, send
Blue Wallet is a beginner friendly bitcoin only wallet. It is available on the App Store and on the Google Play Store.

How to create your wallet:
- Start by clicking "add now"
- Ensure that bitcoin is selected
- And give your wallet a name
- Next, click on "create"
- Blue Wallet then generates your Seed Phrase
- Write this seed down
- Click "OK, I wrote this down"
Backing up your seed is essential: You must write down your seed phrase and keep it secure and private. This seed phrase is used to access your bitcoin incase you lose or break your phone.
You will now be in your wallets home screen, and you are ready to start using bitcoin.
How to receive Bitcoin
- In the home screen of Blue Wallet, click on your newly created wallet.
- Next, click on "receive"
- Blue Wallet will now display your bitcoin address.
- You can share this address with anyone who is sending you bitcoin.
- It is best practice to get a new address for each time you receive.
Bitcoin sent to the above address will belong to you, because you have the seed phrase. The seed phrase is used to access the coins sent to your addresses.
How to send bitcoin
- In Blue Wallet, click on the wallet you wish to send the funds from.
- Click on send at the bottom right of your screen.
- Then paste the address you are sending the funds TO in the "address" bar.
- Click on the "0 BTC" field and select how much bitcoin you wish to send.
- Leave a note in the "Note to Self" field if you wish to record what this transaction was for.
- Then click on "next."
- You will now see a screen that shows you all the details about your transaction.
- Click "Send now" if everything looks good.
- The transaction is complete, and you can click done to get back to your home screen.
